Restriction Orifice

Restriction orifices are mainly used to generate either a constant pressure drop or a flow rate limitation in a pipeline. These devices may turn the reduced energy of the flow into unwanted noise and vibration; therefore, they should be accurately sized and also adequately insulated in installation. Although there are several techniques to reduce the adverse side effects of restriction orifices such as using multi hole or multi stage orifices, the accurate calculation and design beside proper type selection are very important issues.
